On Thursday, July 26, 2018, we have received distinguished delegates from the prominent universities of Sudan. The president of International University of Africa Prof. Kamal Mohamed Ubeyd and The president of Khartoum University Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Suleiman were leading the guests.
During the visit, they toured to the all facilities of the university including the library, Mosques, Medical and Engineering lab and other centers. The delegates came to SIMAD University as part of their participation in Conference on Higher Education in Post-Conflict Societies held in Mogadishu on July 24, 25 &26, 2018.
Prof. Ubeyd stated that SIMAD is doing a great job in Somalia, “one of our main reasons we visit here is that you are one of the top 200 universities in Africa” he said.
The representative of the Ministry of Education to the Somali Embassy in Sudan welcomed the guests to Somalia and guided them in all the places they have visited including the Ministry of Education, Somali National University, and SIMAD.
The Republic of Sudan is known for their historical education support to Somalia during the civil wars of the country. Currently, thousands of Somali students are enrolled in the Universities of Sudan in the form of scholarship.
SIMAD is constantly hosts and welcome visitors which are mostly from overseas to see the service and the overall operations of the University.
