Sam Mohamed wins SU Public Speaking Contest

Sam Mohamed Hassan, 2nd-year student at SIMAD University Faculty of Economics wins a Public Speaking Contest held on May 09, 2017 at Gahair Campus. This is an annual Public Speaking Contest held only for female students of the University. The event was organized and sponsored by SIMAD University Students Government.

More than 6 female students from their respective faculties have participated in the contest. Each Student presented her prepared speech in front of a panel of judges comprised of faculty, lecturers, and members of the Students Government. Sam Mohamed became first place winner of the contest because of her captivating content delivery and ability to integrate personal judgments along with facts and statistics. Congratulations!

If you recall back to Female Debating Championship held in this year, Faculty of Economics Female Debating team won the contest and Sam Mohamed was among the team. After the end of Public Speaking Contest, she was awarded a cup of excellence and certificate of recognition.

SIMAD University is proud to offer opportunities for students to develop their speaking skills and self-confidence and encourages female students in participating the University’s activities.
